WHERE TO LOOK FOR A JOB

As an International student there will be constraints on your hours of work. One is entitled per week to a maximum of 20 hours, and authorised to work full-time only during the summer holidays (July/September).

As an international Student you will also be required to have a work permit and often be bilingual (french/dutch). But do not get discouraged, the language is not always an issue you just need to find appropriate establishments.

The list of possible grants and scholarships is quite large and varies depending on who you are & where you come from & what you study to whether or not you are authorised to apply.

CAREER CENTRE

The VUB has a Career Centre on its Etterbeek Campus. The centre powered by Randstad "offers you the chance of matching your studies with your career and deepens its commitment to the internationalization of higher education" (Vrije Universiteit, 2012). The site allows you to search for vacancies as well as student job possibilities.
