COMPUTER LABS

In all campus labs you can as well as use the computers, print, and photocopy documents.
The labs are as follows per campus:

Faculty of Science and Bio-engineering: 1E001 to 1E005, 1E007

Upon general registration as a student at the University you are given 2.48 euros on your print account - print credit. This amount authorises you to print approximately 100 pages. As a student you can equally top-up when necessary through your PAM - Personal Account Manager : CLICK HERE to redirect.

THE LIBRARIES



Each Campus Library is equally equipped with computers and printing facilities. More library information can be found by CLICKING HERE redirecting you to the Study Time page.

YOUR OWN COMPUTER/SMARTPHONE

When on the campus there is a variety of roaming networks available. 


The Etterbeek Campus has one of the largest hotspots in Belgium, with a choice of 3 networks. If you want to log on to one of these networks you will have to create a new password and login name to gain access. See the following VUB page for links and access: http://vubnet.vub.ac.be/en/wireless.html
On the Jette Campus there is wireless available in the Library and in the Study and Guidance Centre 'Centrum voor Studie en Begeleiding'.

THE PRINT/COPY SHOP


The Etterbeek Campus as well as providing the printers in the library and computer labs also has a 'Crazy Copy Centre'. You can purchase a member card at the Centre to be able to use the various facilities, machines, and services.

VUBTIEK-STUDENT SHOPS

A student shop used to find course related books at a discount price as well as other office supplies and materials. The shop can equally be used to purchase an SPSS 'key' amongst other things, which will allow you to have access for one year.

MORE SPSS FOR YOUR MASTERS

As you will find on the OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE blog there is a number of tips and tutorials on statistics and other software you will face on your Masters course at the VUB. 

At the VUB - you can register to get the IBM SPSS licence. In order to do this you can purchase a key at the respective Vubtieks - Student Shops (mentioned above). By CLICKING HERE you will find the relevant links allowing you to choose what version and for what computer (linux, mac OS, windows) and have the ability to order your license online.
